Inclusive businesses (IB) support better incomes and provide access to more affordable goods and services to people living at the base of the economic pyramid through core business operations.

 

Promoting IB models supports the achievement of the sustainable development goals. It also boosts the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as part of the value chain of IB models.

 

Inclusive business models make business sense, as they provide opportunities for firms to develop new markets, access new funding sources, improve their branding and foster innovation.

 

In 2020, the ASEAN Economic Ministers endorsed the Guidelines for the Promotion of Inclusive Business in ASEAN. Now, ASEAN governments are committing and joining forces with development partners, investors and businesses to promote inclusive business on the ground.

If you are a development partner, investor or business supporting ­– or willing to support – the promotion of inclusive business, you can make a pledge.

All pledges will be shared during the Sixth ASEAN Inclusive Business Summit  to be held in Bali, 23-24 August.
